Reilly's Rib Cage, the five-month-old popular Southern BBQ joint that replaced Kimchi Smoke in Bergenfield (Kimchi moved to Westwood), is about to more than quadruple its space.
Father and son James and Dan Reilly are planning to revamp a garage space right behind their teeny kitchen and shop — 440-square feet on Church Street -- into a spacious sit-down dining room with from 15 to 25 tables.
"We outgrew our space in two months," Dan said.

The expanded space will feature an outdoor smoking pit that, Dan said, can cook a 300-pound pig plus 10 briskets at the same time. Cost: $7,000. "You put more heat into it if you're actually cooking, not just pushing a button," he said. "Plus people can see you cooking."
The pair plans to also add to the menu with such dishes as smoked chicken salad, mac' and cheese to order and s collared green side dish, as well as pecan pie and ice cream for dessert. The current space will be a dedicated kitchen.
The restaurant, which is currently closed on Monday, will be open seven days a week. Reilly's Rib Cage is at 49 W Church St, Bergenfield; 201- 771-7200.
